I provide quality care with one on one service for your fur children.
However, it is a little business. Being home based allows me the ability to do one on one which means I take less dogs and space out appointments accordingly.
High volume salons NEED to take on a large number of dogs to pay their rent and utilities and be sustainable. With that being said, I have had to put a few policies in place in order to stay sustainable myself.
1. Any last minute cancellations in less than 24 hours will have a rebooking fee of $30 in order to reschedule your appointment. Emergency situations and extreme weather are always taken into consideration.
2. No call/No shows(current clients) will have a rebooking fee of the full amount of the grooming price in order to schedule future appointments. This must be paid at the booking time, either by e transfer or credit.
3. No call/No shows of first time clients will not be invited to rebook an appointment.
4. Petsitting will require a deposit of 1/3 the total cost to book in (minimum). This will be refundable up till 7 days before the scheduled slot, cancelling under 7 days will result in losing your deposit.
Holiday/long weekends/school break stays will require a months notice to cancel (Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, may/August long weekend and spring/summer/winter breaks)
You all have been wonderful people and dogs to work with, but I also need to guarantee my own income with the nature of my business. If someone does not show up, I do not get paid.
Product is literally poured down the drain.
The 48 hour auto message confirmations that I provide through my scheduling software eliminates almost all no shows or last minute cancellations, so this has little effect on the majority of my clients! I just wanted all to be aware and informed.
